Ontario Police investigators have arrested a suspect who is believed to have committed two incidents of sexual assault at the Burlington Coat Factory.
The modern quilt movement is nearly a decade old. It started in the early 2000s as an online community of like-minded quilters. These artists were inspired by modern design, bold colors, the use of negative space, and alternative fabrics. Police investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man believed to be involved in two incidents of sexual assault against a child.
The two events occurred at Burlington Coat Factory located at 4777 E. Mills Circle. The suspect lured female victims, ages 5-10 years old, away from their parents and inappropriately touched them.
Detectives continue to investigate 23-year-old Eric Vargas of Los Angeles, for lewd acts with a minor under 14 years old. The initial investigation revealed that Vargas befriended the 12-year-old girl on the social media dating site “Kik.” He then met with the victim on several occasions.
