• Get ready to celebrate the year's most awaited day with the Independence Day Parade on Euclid Avenue.
• The parade begins at 4^th Street and Euclid Avenue and will travel south in the southbound lanes until "G" Street, where the route will cross over to the northbound lanes and continue down south to "B" Street. Please note that this is a change from the previous year's routes.
• The parade will begin at 9:00 AM and will end around 10:30 AM.
• Street Closures: Beginning at 3:00 AM and until approximately 12:00 PM, Euclid Avenue will be closed from Holt Boulevard to 5th Street. Cars will not be able to enter Euclid Avenue during this time.

When can I set up my chairs and blankets on the Euclid Avenue median? 

No personal belongings or items can be placed in the public right-of-way or on the Euclid Avenue median to reserve spaces before 5:00 AM on July 4, 2024.

Where is the Fireworks Show?

Westwind Park, 2455 East Riverside Drive

Is there a cost to enter?

No, it is free to enter.

What time will the entrance gate open at Westwind Park?

5 PM

What streets will be closed to the public?

Riverside Drive between Archibald Avenue and Vineyard Avenue will be closed at 3:00 PM.

Where is parking available?

Shuttle transportation is available from the Ontario Police Department, 2500 S. Archibald Avenue, to Westwind Park, beginning at 4:00 PM and concluding at approximately 10:30 PM.

Is handicapped parking available?

There are minimal spaces available at Westwind Park. Access Riverside Drive from Archibald Avenue and show a placard to enter Westwind Park.

What is permitted in the park?

Charcoal Bar-B-Que's only, blankets, chairs, ice chests, and EZ-ups. (Ice chests will be checked at the entrance gate.)

What is not permitted in the park?

No dogs are allowed except for service animals, and alcohol consumption is prohibited. City parks are smoke-free; smoking/vaping is not permitted.

What activities will be in the park before the Fireworks Show?

Live entertainment, performed by the band Liquid Blue, interactive activities, inflatables, and various food vendors are available at a minimal cost.

What time does the Fireworks Show begin?

9:00 PM and ends at approximately 9:25 PM.

THE CODE OF CONDUCT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE A SAFE, SECURE, AND ENJOYABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL GUESTS. GUESTS SHALL BE COURTEOUS TO ALL OTHER GUESTS, PARTICIPANTS, EVENT OFFICIALS, ENTERTAINERS, CITY AND PRIVATE PROPERTY. GUESTS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE DIRECTION AND INSTRUCTIONS OF EVENT OFFICIALS, SECURITY PERSONNEL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT.

• Guests shall not willfully and maliciously disturb other guests, participants, event officials, or entertainer’s enjoyment of the event by engaging in inappropriate conduct. Inappropriate conduct includes but is not limited to:
  • Physical abuse, verbal abuse, threats, or intimidations;
  • Use of profane, obscene or vulgar language or gestures, except that non-violent political speech or expression shall be respected;
  • Unwanted physical contact;
  • Theft, vandalism, or destruction of property belonging to guests, participants, event officials, or entertainers including city and personal property;
  • Smoking both tobacco products and/or electronic smoking devices, whether in parks per Ontario Municipal Code Chapter 13A of Title 6, or whether at non-park events;
  • Use of fighting words or purposeful, malicious, or willful conduct that incites or provokes a violent reaction by others;
  • Throwing projectiles of any kind;
  • Any activity or conduct deemed by the venue to be inappropriate to the peace and good order of events or which may adversely affect the safety of persons or property.
• No person shall engage in lewd or dissolute conduct pursuant to California Penal Code Section 647(a).
• Operating unauthorized recreational and/or personal transportation devices (such as bicycles, skateboards, golf carts, go-peds, scooters or motorized carts), except by persons with a mobility disability, are not permitted.
• Discarding litter anywhere, except in designated trash receptacles, is prohibited.
• All dogs must be on a leash not exceeding six (6) feet.
• Unauthorized use of utilities (including electrical outlets) is prohibited.
• Children under the age of fourteen (14) years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Entering the event area barefoot or shirtless, or with poor bodily hygiene, per California Penal Code 370, is prohibited.
• All persons must wear shoes and pants (skirt, shorts, etc.).
• No outside alcohol or Illegal drug possession and use is prohibited.
  • For events where Alcoholic beverages are available the following will apply
    • Alcoholic beverages can be purchased exclusively within specifically designated areas.
    • Alcohol sales may terminate at any time at the sole discretion of event officials.
    • Guests who consume alcoholic beverages shall not violate California Penal Code Section 647(f) by becoming so intoxicated that he or she:
      • Is unable to exercise care for his or her own safety or the safety of others; or
      • Is interfering with, obstructing, or preventing others from using streets, sidewalks, or other public ways.
• Intervention with an impaired or intoxicated guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
• Unauthorized soliciting of money or contributions for any purpose is prohibited, except for those who have a permit under Ontario Municipal Code Section 3-1.714.
• Unauthorized sale of products or services is prohibited pursuant to Ontario Municipal Code Section 10-1.18.
• For safety reasons, guests are prohibited from bringing the following items to the event:
  • Aerosol cans;
  • Barbeque or other cooking equipment (unless approved by event officials);
  • Sound amplifying devices;
  • Confetti or smoke-producing products;
  • Poles/sticks to display flags, banners, signs, etc.;
  • Camping tents;
  • Firearms of any kind held at a non-park event, unless pursuant to a valid Concealed Weapon Permit, pepper spray, tear gas, handcuffs, stun guns, explosives, brass knuckles, sticks, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, knives, etc.;
  • Firearms of any kind at any event held at a park, whether a person holds a valid Concealed Weapon Permit or not; and
  • Any other item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by the venue in its sole discretion.
• The list of prohibited items is subject to change at any time by event officials.

VIOLATION OF CODE OF CONDUCT
Violation of any codes from this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event area including but not limited to suspension from future Ontario Special Events. Any decision of the Recreation and Community Services Director to suspend an individual from future Ontario Special Events may be appealed to the Recreation and Parks Commission, subject to the time and notice terms of the Suspension Letter. If a guest is in possession of a prohibited item, he or she will be asked to remove that item from the event immediately. Guests are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to event officials. We welcome your help in our efforts to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests.
