Opportunities for Business Growth:
Ontario's diverse communities, from bustling neighborhoods to vibrant urban districts, create a high demand for varied dining experiences. The Ontario Economic Development Agency promotes business opportunities with incentives like the Downtown Storefront Facade Improvement Program and the Downtown Restaurant Equipment Program. These include a $10,000 restaurant equipment loan and matching up to $25,000 in façade improvements for small businesses establishing in the downtown area.
The Agency has also launched a Community Business Suggestion Form to gather local input and shape a strategy to attract quality retailers and restaurants. The form can be accessed here.
"Ontario's vibrant and diverse communities provide a great foundation for attracting a wide range of businesses. We are committed to providing the necessary support and resources to ensure new businesses thrive in our city," said Jennifer McLain Hiramoto, Executive Economic Development Director.
Emerging Entertainment Sector:
Ontario, a growing community, is 50 square miles, has a population over 182,000, and has an expanding entertainment district around the Toyota Arena and Ontario Convention Center, numerous hotels, a growing international airport, and an upcoming sports complex with a state-of-the-art professional baseball stadium. There is a growing demand for quality post-event restaurants and bars. Officials see ample room for business expansion across the city's neighborhoods.
