The City of Ontario will be the host of TeamCalifornia’s 6th Annual Meet the Consultants (MTC) Forum featuring multiple industry site location consultants and corporate real estate executives. The Forum will take place April 27th, 2017 at the Ontario Convention Center.
The MTC Forum is presented by the TeamCalifornia Economic Development Corporation, a private nonprofit company representing the entire state of California. The purpose of the Annual MTC Forum is to showcase a California region to site selectors making decisions about business investments in California and hear about their experiences. Attendees will hear the latest trends in the site selection industry and network with decision makers. Sponsors will also attend a private California only meeting and dinner.
Local elected officials, city and regional business leaders, real estate professionals, utility representatives, developers and other interested parties are invited to attend.
The program opens with an interactive panel, then takes participants through consultant's presentations, and culminates in round table discussions with the consultants about California and its growth opportunities. Speaker topics include workforce strategies, high-tech movement in and out of California, retail and aviation as a catalyst for development as well as FDI.
In 2010, TeamCalifornia Board of Directors created the Forum as a California Only product. “We got tired of attending similar Forums in other states, so we embarked on our own Forum in California, for California,” stated TeamCalifornia President Frank Quintero. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. “Our mission is to promote California and to invite decision makers to consider California for location and expansion” Quintero added.
Each year the exclusive MTC Forum is sponsored by a different region in California and discussion focuses on California's competiveness in the global marketplace. “The City of Ontario is proud to partner with TeamCalifornia and host this year’s Meet the Consultants Forum, which gives us the opportunity to highlight Ontario, the region and California as a great place to do business” stated Ontario Economic Development Director John Andrews.
“We limit attendance to just 100 attendees so they can develop meaningful connections and learn from the experiences of the consultants,” said Quintero. “We work cooperatively with all the economic development organizations and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development to accomplish this important work to promote California’s message.”
